I will be happy to talk with you about recent cases and the amount of the verdicts and/or settlements. Insurance companies call previous Defendants' attorneys to seek advantage over a later party so this information is not being disclosed to the general public.

As we saw on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, insurers will do many things to attempt to deny a claim even though objectively the claim is honest and valid. Insurers utilize bias, prejudice, and attempt to attack the character of the injured party rather than defend the case on its merits. Jurors should attempt to see through these efforts as they themselves may be in the shoes of the injured party in the future.

In the last seven years, the insurance industry has led a very successful effort to reduce and block valid claims by portraying an injured party as a person out to get something for nothing. During the last seven years, many vaild claims have not been adequately compensated as a result of bias and prejudice and other tactics utilized by insurers. During this time, insurers, business interests, and professionals have escaped responsibility and safeguarded their financial condition and assets. It is past time to consider making harmdoers responsible for their actions and compensate plaintiffs for the harm that they have caused. No one "wins" a verdict when they have had their health damaged by a negligence. They are just trying to make up lost ground and get close to being made "whole."

Please feel free to contact the Dunbar Law Office with any questions or concerns you may have. We always look forward to talking with you.
